“My 8 year old son struggled with reading since Kindergarten. He was always behind the rest of his class, and he felt insecure and dumb. In Grade 2 he had a school resource teacher assigned to help him learn to read, but he didn’t make any progress.
At the beginning of Grade 3 we signed him up for private tutoring lessons twice a week with Janet. He immediately loved her and I could hear him laughing and joking around with her during every lesson. After 4 months of working with Janet, the school told me that my son no longer needed to work with the resource teacher because he had advanced 6 reading levels!!!
My son now happily reads every evening; he feels smart and competent and school is much easier for him. His grades have gone up in every subject, now that he can read.
